AMRITAVARSHAM 67: UN MUNDO, UNA ORACIÓN
Hoy, 27 de septiembre de 2020, es el 67 cumpleaños de Amma, nuestra santa Madre
de la India. Y aún en la distancia, lo hemos celebrado juntos, viéndola y escuchándola,
permitiéndole acercarse una vez más a nuestros corazones, donde siempre se
encuentra.
En este día de su cumpleaños, una vez más, no quiere nada para ella.
La mejor ofrenda que podemos hacerle a Amma, dice, es nuestro amoroso servicio hacia
cualquiera de nuestros semejantes y hacia la naturaleza.
Como suele citar:
“Hijos míos, cuando servís al mundo desinteresadamente, estáis sirviendo a Amma”.
“La devoción real consiste en percibir la forma bienamada de Dios en
cada ser vivo, y en consecuencia, servirlo”
El servicio es el “jabón” que realmente purifica la mente, el remedio para
curar todos nuestros pecados y sufrimientos, como ella afirma con frecuencia, y
como ha cantado hoy mismo en uno de sus hermosos y conmovedores bhajan (cantos
devocionales).
Existe una estrecha relación entre los seres humanos y la naturaleza.
Nuestras acciones nos han llevado al lugar en el que nos encontramos.
La crisis a la que nos enfrentamos es una advertencia de la madre tierra, un
“tratamiento de choque”, una forma de la naturaleza para hacernos reaccionar y
ponernos en el camino correcto.
Ella nos anima a vivir en armonía con la naturaleza, a cuidarla y a
cultivar orgánicamente en la medida de lo posible.
"No olvides esta experiencia", dice, "Úsala como un recuerdo que
te motive a comportarte mejor y estar más alerta".
En estos tiempos desafiantes, ella utiliza un juego de palabras: "Karuna versus Corona" y nos motiva a
utilizar y pracicar “Karuna” (que significa compasión en sanscrito) en lugar de “Corona” y el
miedo asociado a la situación de la pandemia.
Como ha afirmado Amma hoy, la verdadera compasión es ayudar de verdad a los
demás, de corazón, e imaginarnos a nosotros mismos en el lugar de los que
sufren.
"La compasión es la base de la paz" dice, y nos insta a dedicar un
tiempo diario y semanal al servicio desinteresado.
Amma comprende la difícil situación que estamos viviendo y nos anima a ser fuertes
interiormente. Con su rostro de dulzura infinita, afirma que incluso cuando no
podemos vernos físicamente, ella está presente en cada uno de nosotros. Ella
está en nuestro corazón, igual que nosotros estamos presentes en el de ella.
Nos abraza a todos y nos envía su amor.
"Sed valientes. Que la gracia divina proteja a todos mis hijos”- enfatiza.
Amma nos motiva a orar por la paz y la armonía del mundo y a fortalecer nuestra
práctica espiritual.
Un mundo, una oración, que resume a todas:
"Om lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu" - Que todos los seres puedan estar felices y en paz

AMRITAVARSHAM 67: ONE WORLD, ONE PRAYER
Today, September 27th 2020, is Amma´s 67 birthday. We feel so close to Her, our beloved Mother in India. Even in the distance, we have made the celebration together, seeing her and hearing her, allowing her to draw closer once more to our hearts, where she always is.
In the day of her birthday, again, she doesn’t want anything for herself.
The best offering we may perform to Amma, she says, is our loving service towards any of our fellow beings and towards nature.
As she often quotes:
“My children, when you serve the world selflessly, you are serving Amma”
"Real devotion consists in perceiving the beloved form of God in each living being, and consequently, serving him"
Service is the “soap” that really purifies the mind, the remedy to cure all our sins and sufferings, as she frequently says, and also has sang today in one of her beautiful and moving bhajan (devotional songs)
There’s a close relationship between human beings and nature.
Our actions have lead us to the place we find ourselves in.
The crisis we are facing is a warning from mother earth, a “shock treatment”, a way of nature to make us react and put us in the right path.
She encourages to live in harmony with nature, take care of her and cultivate organically if possible.
“Don’t forget this experience”- She says- “Use it as a remembrance to be more alert and behave better”
In this challenging times, she uses a play of words: "Karuna versus Corona" and motivates us to make use of “Karuna” (meaning compassion, in sanskrit) instead “corona” and the fear associated to the corona pandemic situation.
As Amma has said, real compassion is truly caring for others, imagining ourselves in the place of the suffering.
“Compassion is the foundation of peace” she says, and she urges us to dedicate some daily and weekly time to selfless service.
Amma understands the difficult situation we are living and she encourages us to gain inner strength. With her face of infinite sweetness, she points out that even when we cannot see each other physically, she is present in every one of us, she is in our hearts as we are in hers. She embraces us all and sends her love to all of us.
“Be courageous. May divine grace protect all my children.”- She emphasizes.
Amma motivates us to pray for world peace and harmony and strenghten our spiritual practice.
