BEYOND THE THINKING MIND - MAS ALLA DE LA MENTE PENSANTE

BEYOND THE THINKING MIND

I would like to propose a reflection: Are we really masters of our mind, or is our mind dominating us?
To what extent are we aware of our thoughts?
Are we able to find that space of inner calm from which to observe the events of our life and to be aware of the present moment? Or have we decided to suffer, dragged by the stream of life and our thoughts without exercising the position of power and responsibility that corresponds to us by divine inheritance?

According to Eckhart Tolle, a great master of our time:

"Most people spend their lives imprisoned in the confines of their own thoughts. They never go beyond a narrow and personalized sense of identity, made by the mind and conditioned by the past.

In you, as in every human being, there is a dimension of consciousness far deeper than thought. It is the very essence of your being. We can call it presence, alert, unconditioned consciousness. In the ancient teachings, it is the inner Christ, or your Buddha nature.

Finding that dimension frees you, and frees the world from the suffering you cause yourself and others when you only know the "little self" made by the mind, who is the one who directs your life. Love, joy, creative expansion and lasting inner peace can only enter your life through that dimension of unconditioned awareness.

If you can recognize, even from time to time, that the thoughts that pass through your mind are simple thoughts, if you can witness your reactive mental and emotional habits when they occur, then that dimension is already emerging in you as consciousness in The one that occurs the thoughts and emotions: the timeless internal space where the contents of your life unfold.

The stream of thoughts has an enormous inertia that can easily drag you. Every thought is meant to be of great importance. He wants to capture your full attention.
The thinking mind is a useful and powerful tool, but also very limiting when it completely takes over your life, when you do not realize that it is only a small aspect of the consciousness that you are.

When you are immersed in compulsive thinking, you are avoiding what is. You do not want to be where you are. Here now.

Spiritual awakening is the awakening of the dream of thought. "

ECKHART TOLLE

May all of us are able to awaken from the dream of thought and finally be liberated from our own mind, which is the ultimate source of all suffering.

GOD IS ALL THERE IS

A question was asked to the saint Ramana Maharsi: “What is God?”
After a long silence he replied, in simple but yet profound words:
“What is, is God”

Let´s reflect upon this, upon God or the creative intelligence that sustains the universe, in the light of the teachings of Ramana Maharsi and Robert Adams:

Because God is, the Universe is, everything else is.
Everything that exists is God.
Everything, from the tiniest microbe to the whole galaxy, is an expression of God. Everything is God.

No thing exists the way it appears.
Who is seeing all this? To whom does this appear?
The “I” is experimenting this vision.
If it weren’t for the “I” there would be no universe, there would be no God, there would be no creation.
The body and the universe are a manifestation of the mind.

The Real Self exists as the Self, as Pure Awareness. There is only Absolute Reality, Absolute Consciousness. But it appears as if there are things in the universe, as if there was a universe. There are people, animals, vegetable and mineral kingdom, planets… All this things appear as real.

The world, by itself, is an illusion. But God, as the world, is real.

There is no duality in God. The universe is ultimate Oneness beyond concepts. The mind cannot comprehend this.

Where did God come from and why does God appear as all these things?
What is Its purpose?
If God created the world… who created God?
It goes beyond thought.
You will know the truth about these questions when you quiet your mind.
When the mind is no longer in existence the answer will reveal itself, for YOU will be the answer.

One day you will awaken to the fact that the God you have been praying to is none other than YourSelf.

How can this God be separated from you?
You begin to understand that “I am That”… I am that I am.
You find freedom in yourself. You begin to see that God is not just within me, but I am in God.
You realize: What I had called God is Consciousness. I am conscious. I am aware. I exist. I am. You begin to see YourSelf as omnipresent. You are no longer limited by your body or the personal I.

The body, the “I”, is an instrument for good in this world.
It is our duty to show love and compassion.

Whatever you are into, whatever you are going through, if you sit in the silence and practice Self –Inquiry (asking to yourself: “who am I? What is the source of this “I”? and reflecting upon it, listening to the silence), things will begin to stir within you. You will find that your feelings change, your reaction changes, you become less selfish, you develop loving kindness, you understand what this universe is all about. And finally you are at peace.

There is something within you that remembers. Something within you knows. If you sit still, put a smile on your face, these things will come forth.
A sincere person has an open heart and the highest truth is revealed. The brain may sometimes not remember words, but the Heart never forgets. And when you rest in the Silence, you sit still, you remain quiet, something begins to work within your Heart as you become a living embodiment of the Reality, of the Truth, of the Self. Always spend time by yourself, sitting alone in the Silence, being quiet. Be still… and know… I am God.

The life you are living now is an experience. It is all of the mind. Once you know there is no mind, there is no longer the experience you have got to go through. Transcend the mind, find out who you really are and be free. Get rid of the stuff that is keeping you from awakening. Give up your concepts, your preconceived ideas, the dogmas, the belief system you have had for many years. Develop kindness, compassion to any living thing. Everything is holy. Everything is sacred. Everything is God. God is all there is.

“When you are without thoughts,
when you are without needs, without wants,
without desires,
then you are God.
You are the Universe.
You are Divine Love.
You are Beautiful”
- Robert Adams

May all of us be able to observe Silence and awaken the divine Being that lies within us, finally finding our liberation.

¿quién creó a Dios?

Yo mismo soy consciente. Estoy presente. Existo. Yo Soy. “

Eres hermoso/a"

- Robert Adams

ONENESS - UNIDAD

ONENESS

We are all surrounded by problems.
It seems like we all have our own special and unique problems, but the root of all of them is the same for everybody.
To be able to solve a problem, we first have to recognize it.
In reality, there is only one problem and one solution.
All our conflicts, challenges, anxiety and fear arise from our own perceived separation from the Oneness.
We are all One, we are all part of a unique and vast creative intelligence, but we have forgotten our real nature. We feel separated and yet we are all united in one Being... as different candles burning from the same flame.
Albert Einstein referred to this perceived separation as an “optical delusion.”
In reality, we all live in a kind of “dream” perceived as reality.
The real cause of all suffering is ignorance, as we have forgotten who we really are. In the meanwhile, we try to complete ourselves and search in the world for apparent happiness, for riches, for sense pleasures…but what we are deeply searching is our true divine nature, the real Self that lies within, and that we have lost touch with.
We are only able to see this apparent reality surrounding us with our external senses, when there is a higher Reality to be seen if we turn within. All of us have the tendency to go back to that True Reality where we come from and finally merge with the Oneness.

What can we do to counteract our “partial” or narrow point of view of reality?
What can we do when obstacles seem to overcome us? When we experience feelings of stuckness, scarcity or struggle?

We may be able to reset ourselves by tuning into Oneness again, recovering our correct point of view, tuning into our Real nature.
We can visualize ourselves as light, filled with light and emanating light.
We may feel ourselves as an expression of Divine Love, expanding this light and love from our heart to the heart of others.
We may develop faith in the Divine Guide of creation and ask for strength to carry on, while we surround our own problems in light and offer them to the higher purpose that lies in creation.
We may learn to live every day, every moment at a time, with attention and awareness, enjoying the little moments of our daily life. We can then be able to experience Oneness and abundance in the world, in this marvelous scenery before our eyes.

May we all finally go back from this dream of delusion into the Reality of Oneness.

UNIDAD

THE RIGHT PRAYER - LA ORACIÓN CORRECTA

THE RIGHT PRAYER

How many times do we blame God for our suffering? How many times do we blame God for the things that are not going well in our lives?
But… what if each one of us was the only responsible for what is happening in his or her life?
What if our lives were a result of the law of cause and effect and we are just living the consequences of our past actions?

There is not such a thing as God outside of us. Sometimes we think of God while we look at the sky, so far away. But God is in us, God is us, and so we have the responsibility to take our power back and start creating the life we deserve. Because we, as creators, have an immense power to transform and uplift reality. By the way we act, think and look towards reality in the present, we are creating our future, so it is important to take responsibility of it. The only thing we need to start with is faith, belief in our own capacities. We need to introspect and contact that space within that already knows everything… but has forgotten… only temporarily… and start to remember.

And so… what is the best way to approach God, taking into account that He is us?
We may start to believe in ourselves, in our divine spark, and focus our mind within, being more time in quietness and silence.
A good way of manifesting our creative power is visualizing and feeling the things we would like in our lives as if we already were having and enjoying them. By the law of attraction, we will attract to our lives exactly what we are vibrating. It is very important to think positively, as if we worry about something, we are giving our energy to it and we will probably attract it and manifest it.
We may start acknowledging that we are divinely guided and everything is in its right place. We may believe that there is a divine plan, a supreme intelligence that is our True Self and knows what is best for us, that knows more than our limited human consciousness… that has not been awakened yet.  And due to this, when we pray, we pronounce partial, one-sided prayers, about what we think is best for us… but we really don’t know, because we don’t have the global picture. Sometimes is hard to understand we may have to go across difficult moments just to be able to grow and evolve… and become a more complete being.
Nevertheless, the best thing we may do is trust in that power that guides us. We may trust that life, the universe, is providing us with the experiences we need to go through. We may start to develop an attitude of faith and acceptance of what it is… because if it is already happening… there is a reason for it… and it is up to us to be able to learn the lesson behind every situation, and keep on going. This attitude will bring peace and calmness to our lives, getting rid of unnecessary mental burdens, and from that state of mental peace, our life is going to change for the better.

“Never pray to God to release your problems. Never pray to God to change your life, and to give you something better. This is wrong prayer. If you have to pray to God, pray to God to give you the strength and the wisdom and the courage that you need to be able to handle the situation that you are in. This is correct prayer. Do not try to change anything. Be yourself. Work on yourself. Begin to see things in a new light. See your situation differently. There are no bad things; there are no good things. But thinking makes it so.
Do not feel sorry for yourself because you are in a position and in a situation you don’t like. This just holds you there more… and even if you run away from the situation, you will attract some of the circumstances elsewhere.
Stop thinking of the extremes, good and bad, right and wrong. Rather look at yourself in the moment. Stay centered. See yourself as a Divine Being, an Infinite Being, totally free and liberated.” – Robert Adams

May all of us be able to learn from our life experiences by being able to observe and accept reality, till we may move forward to new life situations.
May all of us be guided by the “Power that knows the way”, by the inner guide within, and start to find meaning in our life.
May all be able to manifest a growing creative power.
May all of us be finally able to BE.
